To ease the pain of the impending end of \u201cStranger Things,\u201d EW<\/a> has revealed new images from \u201cStranger Things: Tales from \u201985,\u201d an animated spinoff coming to Netflix in 2026.<\/p>\n

Set in the winter of 1985 \u2014 between the events of \u201cStranger Things\u201d Seasons 2 and 3 \u2014 the Hawkins crew must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.<\/p>\n

Showrunner Eric Robles (\u201cFanboy & Chum Chum,\u201d \u201cGlitch Techs\u201d) describes the series as \u201cHawkins Lab science meets Upside Down matter\u201d to EW.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stakes are real for the kids. It\u2019s not Scooby-Doo, man. It\u2019s not like, \u2018Oh, well, it\u2019ll be fine.\u2019 We don\u2019t know if it\u2019ll be fine,\u201d says Robles, who promises \u201ca lot of freaking cool monsters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flying Bark Productions (\u201cWhat If\u2026?,\u201d \u201cRise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles\u201d) is the animation studio behind the project.<\/p>\n

It stars Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha \u201cEJ\u201d Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.<\/p>\n

Additional voice actors include Odessa A\u2019zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.<\/p>\n

\u201cStranger Things\u201d creators Matt & Ross Duffer executive produce alongside Hilary Leavitt, Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Robles.<\/p>\n

The first four episodes<\/a> of \u201cStranger Things\u201d fifth and final season are streaming now, with the next three episodes coming December 25 and the series finale dropping on December 31.<\/p>\n
