She’s no stranger to the world of TV<\/a>, but Angela Scanlon has established an even more solid fanbase after making her This Morning hosting debut.<\/p>\n

The Irish beauty teamed up with fellow Irish presenter Dermot O’Leary on Friday, filling in for Emma Willis, who withdrew at the last minute due to illness. We might be a tad biased, but she’s a natural!<\/p>\n

Introducing Angela to the This Morning audience, Dermot began the show by saying: ‘For the first time ever – I can’t quite believe I am saying that, what have we been thinking of – look who joins us! Ladies and gentlemen, may I present Angela Scanlon!’<\/p>\n

‘Thank you, thank you,’ an enthusiastic Angela responded. ‘Isn’t it wild? It is glorious, and I’m so happy to be popping my This Morning cherry with you, Dermot.’<\/p>\n

It was a baptism of fire for Angela, who was issued a diss by show guest, etiquette expert William Hanson, as she shared a photo of her Christmas decorations.<\/p>\n

Dermot, Angela and William gave their verdicts on a variety of Christmas design decisions made by fans, and one photo, sent in by ‘Ange’, wasn’t William’s cup of tea.<\/p>\n

Dermot introduced the image, which showed a Christmas tree with a draping red bow. He said: ‘Ange says, “do you like my bow-eautiful tree topper?”‘<\/p>\n

Angela gushed: ‘Oh wow, look at that,’ while Dermot chimed in: ‘That’s absolutely gorgeous!’<\/p>\n

An astonished William said: ‘I don’t want to mince my words, but that is absolutely horrific. It’s horrific. It looks like you’ve just chucked some fabric on the top.’<\/p>\n

‘It’s a bow,’ Angela insisted, to which William snarkily replied: ‘It’s a cry for help. <\/p>\n

‘I like the warm white lights, I like the candles, but I’m trying to find a positive… Are you now going to tell me this might be your tree?’<\/p>\n

Proudly, Angela said: ‘That’s my tree, and I’m so proud of it… that’s called lametta tinsel or something.’ <\/p>\n

William didn’t hold back, though, and said: ”Terrible? It’s not how I’d decorate my tree, but you do you.’<\/p>\n

Another photo flashed up, showing multi-coloured Christmas lights, and Angela chirped up: ‘Children love them! My two little girls are obsessed with the coloured lights.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

William, however, said: ‘That is far too much. Children like picking their noses, but that doesn’t mean to say that it’s correct, does it?’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Angela was more than capable of holding her own, and won the support of hundreds of This Morning, who are now calling for the presenter to be made ‘full-time’.<\/p>\n

One X user wrote: ‘Angela Scanlon makes #ThisMorning instantly more watchable. She\u2019d be my first choice to replace Claudia [Winkleman] on #Strictly<\/a> – similar adorable quirky energy.’<\/p>\n

Another penned: ‘Angela Scanlon is FANTASTIC hosting This Morning. Needs to be full-time. #ThisMorning.’<\/p>\n

Angela also had the support of one of her biggest cheerleaders, her pal Vicky Pattison<\/a>, who wrote: ‘I know you’re going to smash it @angelascanlon. Make sure you all tune in!!!
