{"id":203747,"date":"2025-12-21T16:11:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-21T16:11:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/203747\/"},"modified":"2025-12-21T16:11:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-21T16:11:08","slug":"loughrea-talisman-set-to-miss-all-ireland-final-due-to-ridiculous-red-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/203747\/","title":{"rendered":"Loughrea Talisman Set To Miss All-Ireland Final Due To Ridiculous Red Card"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Galway champions Loughrea turned on the style in the second half at Parnell Park today to defeat Derry and Ulster champions Slaughtneil to advance to the Senior Club All-Ireland Hurling Final.<\/p>\n<p>Goals in either half from Anthony Burns and Vince Morgan saw Tommy Kelly&#8217;s side ease to a 2-22 to 0-15 over the Derry side.<\/p>\n<p>Six points from Galway hurler Tiernan Killeen helped Loughrea set up a date in Croke Park against either Ballygunner or St Martins after Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Loughrea Talisman Set To Miss All-Ireland Final Due To Ridiculous Red Card<\/p>\n<p>With Loughrea easing to a win, and time ticking down in Parnell Park, referee Johnny Murphy&#8217;s eyes were drawn to an off the ball incident between Slaughtneil&#8217;s Brendan Rodgers and Loughrea midfielder Cullen Killeen. They did catch sight of Rodgers and Killeen grappling but nothing worthy of a red card.
