Ireland rugby star Tadhg Beirne and his wife<\/a>, Harriet, have welcomed their first child together, just days before Christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Munster<\/a> star, 33, and his long-term love<\/a> announced the happy news earlier today on social media. Taking to Instagram, the couple shared an adorable black and white picture of the two of them holding a baby’s tiny hand.<\/p>\n Harriet revealed that she had given birth to a baby girl in the post and shared that they had decided to call her Penelope Robyn Beirne.<\/p>\n In the lead-up to welcoming their little girl, Harriet had been posting plenty of lovely pics of the couple, as well as letting her followers in on her baby prep, including decorating the nursery.<\/p>\n It wasn’t long before the couple were flooded with well-wishes from family and friends, as the ‘congratulations’ comments quickly rolled in under Harriet’s post.<\/p>\n The baby announcement comes after a busy summer for Tadhg, who took part in the British & Irish Lions Tour in Australia.<\/p>\n Harriet flew out to support her husband as the team, managed by Ireland coach Andy Farrell, beat Australia.<\/p>\n Tadhg and Harriet tied the knot in a beautiful summer wedding at Kilkea Castle<\/a> in Kildare three years ago. The stunning couple were surrounded by family and friends, including Tadhg’s rugby<\/a> teammates and his sister, model Alannah Beirne.<\/p>\n Tadhg and Harriet started dating in 2018, after meeting on a night out in Cardiff following his return to Munster after playing for Welsh side Scarlets.<\/p>\n However, the Welsh beauty followed Tadhg home to Limerick, and the rest is history.
