Does Chris Hughes planning an extra-special holiday surprise in mind for JoJo Siwa<\/a>?<\/p>\n

After meeting the \u201cKarma\u201d singer while costarring on Celebrity Big Brother U.K. together earlier this year, the Love Island alum addressed the possibility of taking their whirlwind romance<\/a> to the next level\u2014though perhaps not during the festive season.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou always get people who get engaged on Christmas morning,\u201d he told The Sun<\/a> in a joint interview with JoJo published Dec. 20. \u201cYou see it on Instagram\u2014every year, you’re gonna see somebody who gets engaged. I like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected.\u201d<\/p>\n

But JoJo, 22, offered an unconventional engagement plan of her own.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is my thing,\u201d she rebutted. \u201cWhat if I got him a ring? What if I proposed?\u201d<\/p>\n

When Chris, 32, expressed opposition to the idea, the Dance Moms alum relented, saying she would only initiate a proposal if she felt one were overdue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn’t do it unless you waited seven years,\u201d she continued. \u201cThen I’d be like, \u2018Alright, my ass is getting down on the knee then.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, JoJo went on to establish a deadline for her boyfriend to put a ring on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust so you know,\u201d she told Chris, \u201con May 27, 2032, I will be down on one knee. I will not wait one extra day.\u201d<\/p>\n

And judging by Chris\u2019 past comments about their relationship, JoJo may not have to wait that long.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe’s literally the love of my life,\u201d he told E! News in July<\/a>, \u201cbut she’s also my best friend. Like, we sit and do nothing together.\u201d<\/p>\n

JoJo shared a similar point of view, saying she \u201ccouldn\u2019t imagine\u201d life without \u201csweet Christopher boy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just feel pure and I feel joyous, and I don’t feel like I have to give off any sort of energy. I just radiate right now,\u201d she said during an interview with E!<\/a> in June. \u201cI am the most put together that I’ve ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n

For then-17-year-old JoJo Siwa<\/a>, Aug. 1, 2020, was a beautiful day to reveal the identity of her boyfriend<\/a>\u2014the man who managed to trump her crushes on Grey’s Anatomy<\/a> star Patrick Dempsey<\/a> and Zac Efron<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“He’s amazing and I couldn’t have imagined anyone better,” the Dance Moms alum gushed to mom Jessalynn Siwa<\/a> of the musician. <\/p>\n

But by that November, the pair were no longer in harmony. <\/p>\n

“Mark doesn’t deserve hateful things like this,” Siwa wrote on Instagram, defending her recent ex<\/a>. “He deserves to have people support him. You have NO idea about mark and I’s relationship. how much fun it was. how happy we both were, and how happy we both are. We decided it’s best for us to not be in a relationship…. that’s all.”<\/p>\n

What started as a friendship when Siwa met Kylie Prew<\/a> on a 2020 cruise, truly set sail a year later when “I got to start calling this exceptional human my Girlfriend,” the reality star shared on Instagram in February 2021. <\/p>\n

Siwa also credited “the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world,” with encouraging her to share her true self<\/a>. Having already filmed content with Pride House, a collective of LGBTQ+ TikTok creators, and a TikTok of herself dancing to Lady Gaga<\/a>‘s “Born This Way” anthem, the reality TV vet was debating whether she wanted to share a pic of her new “Best Gay Cousin Ever” shirt<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“I was like, ‘I kinda just want to post this picture on my Reels story,’ and she was super encouraging,'” Siwa detailed on The Tonight Show<\/a>. “She was like, ‘Do it!’ And I was like, ‘All right,’ and I did it.”<\/p>\n

Though the pair moved in together (“Looking back, all of us are like, ‘That should’ve never happened,” Siwa admitted on the Call Her Daddy podcast<\/a> in April 2024), they split that October<\/a>, reuniting for one final dance in 2022<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Prew is still her “good friend,” Siwa told Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper<\/a>, noting they talk “all the time.” <\/p>\n

“I am not single and I don’t want to mingle,” Siwa shared on a March 2022 episode<\/a> of the Rachel Uncensored<\/a> Podcast. “No, I’m a loyal lady.”<\/p>\n

She’d played the field, she continued, and snagged herself a catch in Katie Mills<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“Listen, I went around the block,” Siwa teased. “I tried a lot, and I learned a lot and I’m very, very, very happy where I am now.”<\/p>\n

But safe to say her romance with the TikToker wasn’t all fun and games. <\/p>\n

When Siwa posted a March 2023 clip calling out “love bombing” and “clout chasing” behavior<\/a> from unnamed exes, Mills dropped a few bombs of her own<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“I’m done being quiet,” she said in her own TikTok that month. “You hold a lot of power, you and your platform. How can you tell someone you love them and ghost them the next day, and then post all over the internet that we’re clout chasers<\/a> and love bombers? I don’t get it.”<\/p>\n

What’s more, she continued, Siwa was the one to make their romance public, while Mills asked permission before posting any glimpses into their love. And, stressed Mills, “I have the text receipts to prove it, so don’t come at me.” <\/p>\n

Safe to say Avery Cyrus<\/a>\u2014the YouTuber Siwa briefly dated in 2022\u2014hasn’t claimed a spot at the top of her pyramid.<\/p>\n

When they celebrated their 12-day anniversary, the singer said life together was a D.R.E.A.M. “Our personalities mash together so well, and I think that’s something that is really important,” Siwa told E! News that October<\/a>. “She is so positive. She makes me feel so good. I believe that I make her feel so good.”<\/p>\n

But the vibes changed that December. Two days after Cyrus confirmed they’d ended their romance<\/a>, Siwa cryptically called out a person who she said took advantage of her fame. <\/p>\n

“I got used, for views and for clout,” she griped in a Decemer 2022 video<\/a> that her mom shared to her Instagram Story. “I got tricked into being told I was loved and I got f–king played.”<\/p>\n

For Cyrus, though, their dalliance wasn’t a game. <\/p>\n

“From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends,” she exclusively told E! News in a statement<\/a>. “The relationship was very real, and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family.”<\/p>\n

Dakayla Wilson<\/a> may have placed second on season 18 of So You Think You Can Dance<\/a>, but she was No. 1 in judge Siwa’s heart. “Girlfriend taught a dance class so i took a weekend off of being JoJo Siwa and became her All Star Assistant,” the “Karma” singer gushed in an August TikTok, hard launching their relationship<\/a>. <\/p>\n

For several months, Wilson proved to be the perfect dance partner. Siwa shared that the teen was “on board”<\/a> with her plan to have triplets in the near future and she eagerly dropped $30,000 on her 19th birthday celebration in Hawaii<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“We are very madly in love,\u201d the former Nickelodeon star gushed to E! News<\/a>. \u201cShe is a very, very special girl. I’m very lucky to have her in my life.”<\/p>\n

But it turned out that Wilson wasn’t all Siwa wanted for Christmas. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have gone our separate ways<\/a>, but she is an amazing girl,\u201d Siwa told People<\/a> in November 2024. \u201cAnd I got my own fun holiday plans, and I know she’s got her family that she’s spent the holidays with.\u201d <\/p>\n

Siwa confirmed her relationship with Kath Ebbs<\/a> in January 2025, calling the Australian content creator her “girlfriend<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Ebbs also returned the love, posting photos of the pair kissing that same month. They wrote on Instagram<\/a>, “Bit of queer joy for ya feed today!!”<\/p>\n

However, just three months later, Ebbs revealed they called it quits during the wrap-party for Celebrity Big Brother UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I was told that there are confused feelings there\u2014do with that what you will,” Ebbs detailed in an April 2025 TikTok<\/a>, “and that they had realized in the house that I wasn’t the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable future with.”<\/p>\n

But Siwa insisted this wasn’t an everyone’s replaceable situation despite her close bond<\/a> with fellow housemate Chris Hughes<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Rather, during filming, “I was now in my own thoughts away from everyone that I know, away from outside opinions, away from everything,” Siwa reflected during an April 28 appearance on ITV’s <\/a>This Morning<\/a> alongside Hughes. “And I sat with myself and from that point on, I really realized things that I was okay with in my life that I should never have been okay with in the first place.”<\/p>\n

Though Siwa didn’t land atop the proverbial pyramid during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother UK, she emerged from her time filming the show in the spring of 2025 with a better prize: A new partner in her fellow competitor Chris Hughes<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cChristopher is my favorite thing to talk about,\u201d she gushed of the Love Island<\/a> alum to E! News\u2019 Keltie Knight<\/a> at the grand opening of Universal\u2019s Epic Universe May 21. \u201cI shouldn\u2019t call him a thing\u2014he\u2019s my favorite person to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n

And, yet, she kept reiterating, they were just friends<\/a>. Until they weren’t<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not platonic any more,\u201d Siwa acknowledged to The Guardian<\/a> in a June 2025 interview, \u201cand it\u2019s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I\u2019m absolutely head over heels for him and he\u2019s the same way.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for how she’d define her sexuality, she still feels that “queer” best “encompasses how I am, and who I am.” But she’s a love the person, not the label type. <\/p>\n

“There\u2019s a lot of different sexual identities,” Siwa noted. “I think there\u2019s nothing more beautiful than somebody discovering themselves.”<\/p>\n
