Christmas is just around the corner, and new research from Virgin Media Ireland<\/a> has uncovered the definitive list of Ireland\u2019s most-loved festive films.<\/p>\n

The new study<\/a> compiled the top 100 highest-grossing Christmas films and analysed their search volumes each December since 2021 to reveal the movies Irish audiences turn to when getting into the festive spirit. The result is a feel-good festive line-up of the nation\u2019s favorite Christmas movies.<\/p>\n

Tied at the top with an impressive 74,000 searches every December since 2021, “Love Actually” claims joint first place as Ireland\u2019s most-loved Christmas movie. Its heartfelt stories, all-star cast and cosy festive setting continue to capture the nation\u2019s heart year after year.<\/p>\n

Sharing the top spot is “Home Alone,” with 74,000 searches. The much-loved classic remains a favourite with Irish families, with Kevin McCallister\u2019s clever traps and Christmassy chaos still bringing in laughs.<\/p>\n

Coming in at number three is “Red One,” with 60,500 searches. The action-packed adventure has quickly become a modern Christmas favourite, blending holiday magic with blockbuster excitement.<\/p>\n

In fourth place we have “Die Hard,” pulling in 40,500 searches. The debate may continue over whether it\u2019s truly a Christmas movie, but Irish audiences are clearly still tuning in every festive season.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the top five is “Elf,” also with 40,500 searches, proving that Buddy the Elf remains as popular as ever.<\/p>\n
