{"id":205686,"date":"2025-12-22T20:43:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T20:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/205686\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T20:43:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T20:43:07","slug":"iran-set-to-simultaneously-launch-3-satellites-into-space-this-week-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/205686\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran set to simultaneously launch 3 satellites into space this week: Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Iran is scheduled to simultaneously place three domestically manufactured satellites into orbit later this week, a report says.<\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s Mehr news agency reported on Monday that Tolou-3 (Paya), Zafar-2, and Kowsar-1.5 satellites would be launched at 1648 Tehran time (1318 GMT) on December 28 aboard a Soyuz rocket from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia\u2019s Far East.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the report added, Tolou-3 and Zafar\u20112 satellites were successfully integrated onto the separation block of the Russian Soyuz launch vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf7\ud83d\udef0\ufe0f<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nIran\u2019s Zafar\u20112 and Paya satellites were successfully integrated onto the separation block of Russian Soyuz launch vehicle. All related integration tests were completed successfully. On December 27, three domestically built satellites are scheduled to be launched into space <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wpC95mrZuX\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/wpC95mrZuX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2014 Press TV \ud83d\udd3b (@PressTV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressTV\/status\/2003072074865328624?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">December 22, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tolou-3 is Iran\u2019s heaviest Earth-observation satellite, weighing about 150 kilograms, with a resolution of around\u00a0five\u00a0meters for black-and-white images and about 10 meters for colored visuals.<\/p>\n<p>Data obtained from the satellite can be used in areas such as agriculture and farm monitoring, water resource management, environmental mapping, as well as the tracking of natural hazards like floods and droughts.<\/p>\n<p>Zafar-2 is developed by Iran University of Science and Technology. It is also an Earth-observation satellite intended for monitoring natural resources and the environment, observing natural disasters, and general mapping.<\/p>\n<p>Kowsar-1.5 is the integrated version of Kowsar-1 and Hodhod-1 second generations. It has the Internet of Things (IoT) capability.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the head of the Iranian Space Agency (ISA),\u00a0Hassan Salarieh, announced\u00a0that his agency is updating the country\u2019s 10-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presstv.ir\/Detail\/2025\/11\/10\/758564\/Iran-satellites-Zafar-Paya-Kowsar\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">space\u00a0document<\/a>, which focuses on expanding satellite-based services.<\/p>\n<p>Iran first entered the global space arena in February 2009, when it launched its first homegrown satellite, Omid (Hope), aboard a Safir rocket.
