Before Avatar: Fire and Ash, Jack Champion<\/a> starred in another blockbuster film. The actor has now opened up on that very special cameo appearance.<\/p>\n

The star returned in the third installment of James Cameron’s fantasy epic<\/a> as Spider, a human teenager living on Pandora.<\/p>\n

The film<\/a>, in cinemas now, sees Spider become an “air breather”, meaning he is able to survive in Pandora’s atmosphere without a mask, after Kiri (Sigourney Weaver) connects him to Eywa, fully immersing him in the Na’vi world.<\/p>\n

But before we were introduced to Spider, the Scream VI actor appeared in Avengers: Endgame as “Kid on Bike” in a scene where Paul Rudd’s character, Scott Lang, emerges from the Quantum Realm.<\/p>\n

It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment, but it was a huge moment in Champion’s career as well as the first time he appeared alongside Avatar co-star Zoe Saldana.<\/p>\n

He told Entertainment Weekly<\/a>: “Endgame is one of those movies that I feel like everyone was a part of in some way or another, like the whole cast and crew of all of Hollywood. <\/p>\n

“I’m just blessed that I got to dip my toe in that pond and say I was a part of it. I went to the cast and crew screening of Endgame in LA, and Zoe [Saldana] literally called the host of that and gave me a shoutout. She was like, ‘Hey, shoutout to my cast mate Jack! ‘Kid on Bike.’ That was hilarious.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “Although, we recently did some little game for the internet, and she forgot that I was in Endgame. It was like, ‘Which franchise has Jack not been a part of?’ And she was like, ‘I don’t think he’s been part of Marvel.’ Then she immediately remembered, and she was like, ‘I’m so sorry!'”<\/p>\n

Opening up on the audition process, he revealed that he only auditioned once after sending in a self-tape, and he was called about the role a month later.<\/p>\n

On whether people are shocked he appeared in the Marvel franchise, he added: “They’re always surprised, but then, to my surprise, there’s always a look of recognition. ‘Oh yeah! Kid on Bike.’ And I’m like, ‘Wait! You still recognize me?’ <\/p>\n

“You see this on the 12-year-old Beaver-[hair]cut ‘Kid on bike’? The amount of people that do still remember once I tell them is surprising.” <\/p>\n
