Talking to the Hindustan Times, Sharman Joshi shared that he hopes that the sequel happens, but he has not been informed yet. He said, \u201cOn more than a couple of occasions, there has been buzz that the 3 Idiots sequel is happening. The last time the reports came, it turned out to be for an ad campaign. Let\u2019s see, hopefully this time it\u2019s true.”The actor said that he is in no position to know, but only the master, Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi (writer) and Aamir Khan would be working on it if there is potential. <\/p>\n

Sharman Joshi recalls ‘3 Idiots’<\/p>\n

Joshi recalled joining the cult film saying, \u201cI was in the gym, building six-pack abs when I got the final call from Raju sir. He told me ab 3 saal tak tu gym ki shakal nahi dekhega.” The actor added that he thinks of \u20183 Idiots\u2019, and a smile comes on his face. That film felt like a fairytale, from the time he heard the story till today. He mentioned, \u201cStyle led me to 3 Idiots. Raju sir had seen me in the film and thought that someday he\u2019d cast me in some movie. When we started shooting for 3 Idiots, he mentioned that to me.”<\/p>\n

‘3 Idiots’ sequel update<\/p>\n

According to Pinkvilla, Rajkumar Hirani has locked the script of \u20183 Idiots\u2019 sequel. The film is expected to begin filming in 2026. It will bring back Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi.
