This strategic location will allow the spacecraft to capture the full scope of the exosphere, including the regions farthest from the planet. From L1, the Carruthers spacecraft will use its advanced imaging systems to track hydrogen atoms as they move from the exosphere into space, providing valuable data on how Earth\u2019s atmospheric particles escape.
