The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/a>\u2019s Kandi Burruss<\/a> could always count on her longtime business associate\u00a0DonJuan Clark<\/a> to be \u201cthe perfect right-hand man.\u201d<\/a> Well, according to a recent social media post, their relationship remains \u201cwell protected.\u201d<\/p>\n

DonJuan shared the update on a Dec. 16 Instagram post<\/a>, showing Kandi and the General Manager of her Kandi Koated Entertainment multimedia and production company posing close together for a holiday-themed outing with friends. Kandi, herself, responded with \u201cLove you,\u201d proving their 20-plus-year friendship<\/a> remains on solid ground.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And, if that wasn\u2019t proof enough, Kandi paid tribute to DonJuan in a Nov. 9 Instagram post<\/a>, dropping photo after photo of their time together. From their victory on the celebrity version of Family Feud<\/a> to red-carpet moments, costume parties, and throwbacks, their one-of-a-kind bond continues to withstand the test of time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so blessed to have you in my life,\u201d Kandi captioned for DonJuan\u2019s birthday. \u201cSo appreciative for everything you do to keep things popping for me. I pray this year be a continuous run of Wins for you! Love you bro!\u201d<\/p>\n

Who is Kandi Burruss\u2019s longtime business associate, DonJuan Clark?<\/p>\n

DonJuan Clark is Kandi\u2019s Chief of Staff,<\/a> taking on a major role in her business-related matters and serving as part of her Kandy Koated entourage. His official title, per the businessman\u2019s LinkedIn profile<\/a>, is entertainment executive, and his responsibilities include music campaign management, stakeholder relations, event and production management, and more. But, above all, he\u2019s Kandi\u2019s trusted ride-or-die friend.<\/p>\n

The friends met in the early aughts when Kandi was pregnant with her first child, Next Gen NYC<\/a>\u2019s Riley Burruss<\/a>,\u00a0as DonJuan explained in 2022<\/a>\u00a0to BravoTV.com. At the time,\u00a0he was an online marketer for MySpace pages, and Kandi began referring him to clients.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe always just kind of kept this relationship going,\u201d he said. And then Kandi\u2019s RHOA career took off in 2009. At the time, the Grammy Award-winning musician invited him to move from North Carolina to Atlanta to work with her. \u201cIt was a wide-open concept,\u201d DonJuan explained. \u201cI literally got a U-Haul. We drove a U-Haul down [to Atlanta], and I moved into a place and drove the U-Haul back, and that was kinda what happened. We looked up, and I was here, like, a few weeks later.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi Burruss sheds light on DonJuan Clark’s Bravo appearances<\/p>\n

Before he knew it, DonJuan was a staple of Kandi\u2019s ever-expanding career, and before long, he was involved in some of Riley and Todd\u2019s business dealings as well.\u00a0Although he appeared here and there on RHOA, he stepped out even more in the spin-off, Kandi & The Gang<\/a>, which centered around Kandi and now-estranged husband<\/a>, Todd Tucker<\/a>\u2019s, southern-style restaurant, Old Lady Gang<\/a>. In that capacity, DonJuan worked as the eatery\u2019s administrative manager<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Back in 2022, Kandi explained that although RHOA fans got to see DonJuan \u201cthis whole time,\u201d his role on Kandi & The Gang let audiences into \u201chis personal world.\u201d She added, “I think sometimes on\u00a0Real Housewives,\u00a0because he’s taken up for me on the times that he’s been on, I feel like people vilify DonJuan. But on this show, it’s like he’s just himself. He gets to be his natural self, without being automatically put in [that] role.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was proven that DonJuan remained close to the family when he joined Kandi, Riley, plus Kandi\u2019s stepdaughter,\u00a0Kaela Tucker<\/a>, and\u00a0cousin\u00a0Patrick \u201cKight\u201d Dallas<\/a> for a celebrity version of the game show,\u00a0Family Feud. In the August 2025 episode, the \u201cKandi-Koated Clique\u201d went head-to-head with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a>\u2019 Kyle Richards<\/a> and her daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie<\/a>, Alexia Umansky<\/a>, Sophia Umansky<\/a>, and Portia Umansky<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was the Atlanta-based Bravolebs for the win, raising money for Kandi\u2019s charity, the Kandi C.A.R.E.S Foundation<\/a>,\u00a0to assist single-parent families.\u00a0\u201cStill feels surreal,\u201d DonJuan wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cGrowing up, I watched Family Feud with my grandma, and now I\u2019ve actually been a contestant on Celebrity Family Feud! Having my mom, family, and friends in the audience made the moment even more special.\u201d<\/p>\n
