The family of a Co. Wexford woman killed in a horror hit-and-run in the Dominican Republic<\/a> are \u201ccompletely heartbroken\u201d and have set up an urgent appeal to try and get justice.<\/p>\n

Mum-of-three Claire Cullen<\/a> died after she was struck by a vehicle while attending her brother\u2019s wedding in the Caribbean nation on November 9.<\/p>\n

Her family have since set up a GoFundMe<\/a> to help raise money for legal fees in \u201can effort to seek justice for Claire\u201d.<\/p>\n

Sister-in-law Helen wrote: \u201cI am fundraising to help cover legal fees in the Dominican Republic in an effort to seek justice for my sister in law, Claire Cullen.<\/p>\n

\u201cClaire was tragically killed in a hit and run incident while on holiday to attend her brother\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe died instantly, and the driver fled the scene without offering any help to Claire or her family.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cOur family is completely heartbroken. We are doing everything we can to support her husband Ronan (my brother) and their boys during this devastating time.<\/p>\n

\u201cLegal fees should be the last thing any family has to worry about, but unfortunately we must pursue a legal case in the hope of securing some justice for Claire, Ronan and the boys.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know this is a difficult time of year financially, so if you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

To date, more than \u20ac17,000 <\/a>has been raised.<\/p>\n
