{"id":212251,"date":"2025-12-26T18:11:10","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T18:11:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/212251\/"},"modified":"2025-12-26T18:11:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T18:11:10","slug":"e-scooter-driver-who-died-in-waterford-collision-on-christmas-day-named-locally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/212251\/","title":{"rendered":"E-scooter driver who died in Waterford collision on Christmas Day named locally\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 40-year-old from St John\u2019s Park was involved in a collision with a car at about 11am at the junction of Manor Hill (Bunker&#8217;s Hill) and Hennessy\u2019s Road on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Mr Walsh, a father of two, was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where he was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The driver of the car, a man aged in his 80s, was also brought to University Hospital Waterford with injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">His death notice on RIP.ie said Mr Walsh &#8220;will be sadly missed&#8221;.
