Lee\u2019s family announced her death on Friday, making a statement on the former \u201cBig Brother\u201d star\u2019s Instagram account. <\/p>\n

\u201cMickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength, and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike,\u201d they wrote. \u201cShe will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Lee\u2019s family created a GoFundMe account for the reality star\u2019s \u201cmedical journey,\u201d saying that the funds were needed to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance. The family raised over $32,500 as of Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Lee suffered multiple cardiac arrests following complications from the flu, according to the GoFundMe page, and was in critical but stable condition earlier this week.<\/p>\n

She is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and was living in Atlanta, according to the GoFundMe page.<\/p>\n

Lee starred on Season 27 of \u201cBig Brother,\u201d which aired on CBS this year.<\/p>\n
