{"id":216824,"date":"2025-12-29T19:51:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T19:51:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/216824\/"},"modified":"2025-12-29T19:51:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T19:51:06","slug":"mind-boggling-child-drove-e-scooter-extremely-dangerously-in-limerick-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/216824\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Mind boggling\u2019: Child drove e-scooter &#8216;extremely dangerously\u2019 in Limerick city"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Garda\u00ed have issued a warning to new e-scooter owners following a seizure that took place in the historical quarter of the city.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick<\/a> An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na stated: \u201cThis scooter \u2014 only just out of the box more than 24 hours \u2014 was being driven extremely dangerously among pedestrians this evening in the Historical Quarter area of the city when Community Policing members from Henry Street encountered it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that someone would let a child out on it when it&#8217;s not even legal for an adult is mind boggling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed further commented: \u201cWe&#8217;ve seized a number of this brand.
