Power: Origins has found its two leads in Spence Moore II (Brilliant Minds, Creed III) and Charlie Mann (Virdee, The Watched). <\/p>\n

Cast as the younger versions of Ghost and Tommy<\/a>, the duo will take the baton from Power favourites Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora<\/a> in the 18-episode series. <\/p>\n

According to Deadline, newcomers Moore and Mann will helm the Power spin-off<\/a>, while appearing alongside Mekai Curtis, who, after leading the prequel series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, will reprise his role as Kanan Stark. <\/p>\n

What to Read Next<\/p>\n

Delving into the backstories of Ghost and Tommy, Power: Origins has yet to confirm a release date, however, with the project in the early stages of development, a 2026 premiere appears likely. <\/p>\n

According to the show’s logline, Power: Origins is a “fun, rambunctious exploration of a new time in the Power franchise, which will highlight the unbridled audacity of young men on the rise, determined to become legends in the game”.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the latest instalment, Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for Starz, said: “Our fans have been asking for Ghost and Tommy’s origin story since we first met them in Power \u2013 and with the launch of this series, we’re delivering in a big way.<\/p>\n

“This marks an electrifying new chapter in the franchise’s evolution as we dive deep into the legacy of these iconic characters and the explosive moments that shaped their path.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, showrunner, writer, and executive producer, Sacha Penn, noted: “Ghost and Tommy’s backstories have fueled years of constant fascination and speculation among fans, and I’m thrilled to be able to answer some long-held questions and share new layers of the story that viewers won’t see coming.”<\/p>\n

Variety reports that Courtney A. Kemp, the creator and original showrunner of Power, will return to co-write the pilot, while executive producing the series as a whole. <\/p>\n

Power: Origins will premiere on STARZ. A release date has yet to be announced. <\/p>\n
