{"id":220823,"date":"2026-01-01T00:50:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T00:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/220823\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T00:50:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T00:50:10","slug":"strict-visitor-restrictions-imposed-in-tullamore-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/220823\/","title":{"rendered":"Strict visitor restrictions imposed in Tullamore hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Visiting has been restricted in all wards in Tullamore hospital due to a spike in people admitted with winter illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>The Midland Regional Hospital says it&#8217;s experiencing a high number of people with respiratory viral illness, such as flu and the winter-vomiting bug.<\/p>\n<p>Hospital bosses said: &#8220;As a precautionary measure,visiting restrictions have been implemented across all hospital departments to help reduce the spread of the virus within the healthcare setting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Visiting is restricted on all wards with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Compassionate and critical visits in exceptional circumstances only will be accommodated by contacting the Clinical Nurse Manager or Nurse in Charge of the relevant ward.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If visiting due to exceptional circumstances patients can only have 1 visitor for 30 minutes at a time.
