Five people have been taken to hospital after an arson attack on a house in north Dublin.<\/p>\n
The incident took place at a property on Creston Avenue, Finglas at around 12:45 local time on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
A woman and a teenage boy suffered serious injuries as a result of the blaze.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed (Irish police) and emergency services were on the scene to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n
All five people in the house were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n
This included a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 20s and three teenagers, two female and one male.<\/p>\n
The injuries to the woman in her 40s and male teenager are serious, Garda\u00ed said.<\/p>\n
The injuries to the three other people are described as non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n
The individuals were brought to James Connolly Memorial and Temple Street Children’s hospitals.<\/p>\n
The scene at the home has been preserved for a technical examination.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed have issued an appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or noticed anything suspicious in the Creston area between midnight and 01:00 local time on Wednesday morning to contact them.<\/p>\n
