{"id":220961,"date":"2026-01-01T02:38:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T02:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/220961\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T02:38:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T02:38:09","slug":"christ-now-says-its-identified-6-cases-of-legionella-pneumonia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/220961\/","title":{"rendered":"Christ now says it&#8217;s identified 6 cases of Legionella pneumonia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CINCINNATI (WKRC) &#8211;  The Christ Hospital has now reported six cases of Legionella pneumonia.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement from the hospital Wednesday, leaders at Christ say <a href=\"https:\/\/local12.com\/news\/local\/christ-hospital-tests-water-after-2-cases-of-legionella-pneumonia-reported-cincinnati-legionnaires-disease-filters-inhale-pathogens-bacteria-main-camps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">they have identified six cases of legionella pneumonia over the past three months.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Three of the patients have died but many people  who get Legionnaire&#8217;s have underlying medical conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Legionella bacteria, which can cause Legionnaires&#8217; disease, are commonly found in natural and man-made water systems.<\/p>\n<p>Two cases were reported in early November, leading to a test of water.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>JOIN THE CONVERSATION (1)<\/p>\n<p>The hospital also initiated environmental testing protocols and installed filters on faucets and showers to ensure safety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CINCINNATI (WKRC) &#8211; The Christ Hospital has now reported six cases of Legionella pneumonia.
