CINCINNATI (WKRC) – TriHealth announced a new agreement with UnitedHealthcare that will keep its hospitals, outpatient centers and physicians in network for patients with UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid health plans.<\/p>\n
The agreement allows care to continue without interruption for about 80,000 patients in the Greater Cincinnati area.<\/p>\n
\u201cReaching an agreement and continuing to serve the Greater Cincinnati community\u2019s health care needs has always been TriHealth\u2019s top priority,\u201d said TriHealth President and CEO Mark C. Clement. \u201cWe are grateful for the opportunity to continue caring for the roughly 80,000 of our patients who have been affected by these negotiations and look forward to strengthening our relationship with UnitedHealthcare moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Clement acknowledged the uncertainty patients faced during the negotiations and said he was relieved by their resolution.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate UnitedHealthcare working creatively with us to find an agreeable solution, and most of all we are thankful to UnitedHealthcare members for trusting us with their health care needs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The partnership will focus on patients\u2019 short- and long-term health care needs, aiming to deliver better care and value for the community. The agreement ensures UnitedHealthcare members can continue to receive comprehensive, cost-effective care.<\/p>\n
UnitedHealthcare also released a statement announcing the agreement:<\/p>\n
