Development of the Exchequer Street site has been ongoing for some years<\/a>, with opening dates delayed at various points. <\/p>\n

However, owner Ennismore has confirmed that the \u201copen house\u201d concept hotel will now be open for guests, drinking and dining this winter. <\/p>\n

14sq m \u2018Snug\u2019 rooms are available on November 20 from \u20ac187, though they rise to \u20ac331 the following night, a Friday. A pre-opening offer (with the code GRAND) sees a 20pc discount on rooms, \u20ac30 food and drink credit and two pints of Guinness on the house, it says.<\/p>\n

The restored Victorian building has 129 rooms, an open lobby, basement nightclub and an all-day Peruvian-inspired restaurant, Cantina Valentina.<\/p>\n

The lobby also sees Dollars, a New York deli-style sandwich spot by day and a natural wine bar by night. <\/p>\n

\u201cViking-era ruins\u201d discovered during development will feature, as will the return of the much-loved Library Bar (albeit with a luxe freshen-up).<\/p>\n

The Hoxton is famous for its \u201copen-house\u201d concept, which sees tourists, locals on laptops, friends sipping lates and punters on nights out criss-crossing its bar, lobby and restaurant spaces (read our hotel reviews of The Hoxton in Shoreditch,<\/a> Southwark<\/a> and Vienna<\/a>). <\/p>\n

The ground-floor bar and lounge is described as \u201chomey yet refined, with nods to the traditional Irish pub\u201d among industrial elements. <\/p>\n

Groundwork will be a basement nightlife venue (The Hoxton\u2019s first) \u201ccelebrating community, inclusiveness and classic club culture\u201d, it says. <\/p>\n

If you prefer cheese toasties and Guinness to spritzes and cocktails, those will be available in the new-look Library Bar, where fires, traditional furniture and dark timber finishes will \u201cbreathe new life into the local landmark\u201d, Ennismore adds. <\/p>\n

Rooms come in familiar categories including \u2018Snug’, ‘Cosy’, \u2018Roomy\u2019 and ‘Biggy\u2019, with colour palettes inspired by Irish landscapes in autumn (leafy greens, auburns and deep browns, rather than egg box greys, one hopes).<\/p>\n

Hoxton hotels are found across the UK, Europe and North America. Designs tend to reflect their neighbourhoods, and embrace non-resident business. <\/p>\n
