A man aged in his 40s was taken to Mercy Hospital with serious wounds and remains in a &#8220;serious condition&#8221; today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A Garda spokesperson told CorkBeo: &#8220;Garda\u00ed are investigating all the circumstances in relation to an alleged assault that took place on Gerald Griffin Street, Blackpool, Cork on the night of Friday 2nd January, 2026 at approximately 10pm. A man, aged in his 40s was taken to Mercy Hospital with a serious stab wound.
