\n\tFor Allison Williams<\/a>, her role in Colleen Hoover<\/a>\u2018s Regretting You<\/a> marked an onscreen collaboration a decade in the making.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Girls alum revealed she \u201calways wanted to work with\u201d onscreen love interest Dave Franco<\/a> before the Josh Boone<\/a>-helmed adaptation, which is now available to stream on Paramount+<\/a>, noting previous attempts to star together in other projects.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve been cast in a bunch of things that never came to fruition over the last 10 years,\u201d she told People<\/a>, explaining that they were attached to \u201cmovies that almost happened and then fell apart at the last second.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWilliams admitted they had \u201cactually never met\u201d before making the romantic drama based on the 2019 book. \u201cIt felt like fate that eventually we would get to work today,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tRegretting You<\/a> follows Clara (Mckenna Grace) whose world is turned upside down when a fatal accident exposes an affair between her father Chris (Scott Eastwood) and aunt Jenny (Willa Fitzgerald), leaving her mother Morgan (Williams) and uncle Jonah (Franco) to make sense of the betrayal, while an adolescent spark between the pair is reignited.<\/p>\n
