A young man has died following a collision in Co Longford.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed and emergency services are currently attending the scene of an incident on the N4 at Edgeworthstown.<\/p>\n
The collision, which involved two cars and a van, occurred on the Longford Town side of the N4 after the Edgeworthstown Roundabout at approximately 7pm this Saturday.<\/p>\n
The driver of one of the cars, a man aged in his 30s, has been pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
A Garda spokesperson said: “Another man, aged in his 30s, has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be serious but non-life threatening.<\/p>\n
“No other injuries have been reported at this time.”<\/p>\n
The road is currently closed for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n
Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6:30pm and 7:15pm this evening are asked to make this footage available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
