The Masked Singer UK has aired another surprising contestant reveal<\/a>, as Tea-Bag became the second elimination of the series. With guesses including Richard Osman, Stephen Merchant and Dan Snow, fans were stunned to discover that it was actually rapper Professor Green behind the mask.<\/p>\n

In tonight’s episode, six brand-new stars took to the stage to perform in their mysterious costumes. Viewers were serenaded by Arctic Fox, Yak, Toastie, Tea-Bag, Monkey Business and Conkers, as well as very special performance from Emperor Penguin.<\/p>\n

As always, judges Davina McCall<\/a>, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama were on hand to shout out their (often outlandish) guesses about who each performer could be. They were joined by guest judge Matt Lucas, who had taken on the persona of Emperor Penguin earlier in the show. <\/p>\n

After all six acts had performed, it was down to the studio audience to save their favourite, with Yak and Tea-Bag receiving the fewest votes. The judges then decided to save Yak, meaning Tea-Bag was eliminated from the competition and unmasked as Professor Green. <\/p>\n

“Right ok I woulda never guess tea bag in a million years hahaha well played like a ‘pro,'” wrote<\/a> one fan on Twitter\/X. “Never would have guessed Professor Green in a million years” echoed<\/a> another.<\/p>\n

“Seriously did not expect Pro Green as tea bag!” said<\/a> a third, while a fourth added<\/a>: “teabag was not who I was expecting!”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, it wasn’t just viewers who were shocked by the reveal, as judge Maya shared her surprise at not guessing her friend’s identity. “Still can’t believe I didn\u2019t guess right ‘teabag’ is a wild costume,” she posted<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Following his elimination, the rapper reflected on his time on the show, saying he was glad he took part, despite his early elimination. <\/p>\n

“What a nice place to be in. To get to a point in my career where I can say, ‘Yeah I’ll do that’. Where I don’t take myself too seriously. I don’t know if I ever did,” he said. “I probably would have done this fifteen years ago, to be fair. I was petrified. I can’t sing. I was trying to sing in RP [received pronunciation], I can’t even talk in RP.”<\/p>\n

“I can’t believe it, well I can believe it but I can\u2019t believe it. I thought people would have enjoyed the Tea-Bag. It was quite scary,” he added. “My son is going to love it. Although I did show him a photo of the costume with no context and I said ‘Do you like it?’ and he said ‘No.'” <\/p>\n

The Masked Singer continues next Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.<\/p>\n
