Brentford secured a big victory in the Premier League this afternoon, with some heroics from a couple of Ireland stars helping them to a 4-2 win over Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.<\/p>\n

Keith Andrews’ side came into this fixture on a decent run of form, having been undefeated in their last four league fixtures. Everton looked likely to provide a stern challenge in this game, although the Bees would prove to be the far superior side.<\/p>\n

They took the lead through Igor Thiago in the 11th minute, before the Irishman in their team made some telling contributions.<\/p>\n

This was the latest in a long line of impressive performances from the Cork man since his move to the club.<\/p>\n

One of his international teammates would then double Brentford’s lead soon after the halftime break. Nathan Collins was the man to get the goal, rising highest to nod home a corner at the near post.<\/p>\n

This header was the Kildare man’s first league goal of the season, having also netted in the Carabao Cup earlier in the campaign.<\/p>\n

Brentford’s lead would be further extended by a second goal from Thiago just 60 seconds later. While Everton would get a goal back, Keith Andrews’ side would eventually run out as 4-2 winners after Thiago completed his hat-trick late on before Thierno Barry grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.<\/p>\n

This result moves Brentford up to seventh in the Premier League table, just one point off fifth place and a likely Champions League position.<\/p>\n

That hammers home just how good of a job Keith Andrews has done since taking over as manager, with his cause aided by a couple of familiar faces from his Ireland days in Kelleher and Collins.<\/p>\n
