It looks like there\u2019s some drama between Ashley Tisdale<\/a> (who now goes by Ashley French<\/a>) and her former fellow celeb mom friends.\"Ashley<\/p>\n

This week, Ashley \u2014 who shares two young daughters with her husband, Christopher French \u2014 penned a raw essay for the Cut<\/a> titled, \u201cBreaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group.\u201d\"Ashley<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, Ashley noted toward the start of the piece that \u201conline sleuths\u201d shouldn\u2019t speculate about what exactly went down between her and her now-ex friends. That said, it is public knowledge<\/a> that Ashley\u2019s former group of \u201cmom friends\u201d featured celebrities like Meghan Trainor, Hilary Duff, and Mandy Moore. The group have long shared photos from their hangouts, with Meghan captioning one 2022 photo dump<\/a>, \u201cI have mom friends and I love them.\u201dBefore getting into the \u201cmom-group drama,\u201d Ashley noted in the essay<\/a> that she began \u201ccraving connection with other mothers\u201d after the birth of her first daughter \u2014 and grew \u201ccertain\u201d that she\u2019d found her \u201cvillage\u201d after connecting with a group of fellow celebrity moms.However, she wrote, \u201cOver time, I began to wonder whether that was really true. I remember being left out of a couple of group hangs, and I knew about them because Instagram made sure it fed me every single photo and Instagram Story. Another time, at one of the mom\u2019s dinner parties, I realized where I sat with her \u2014 which was at the end of the table, far from the rest of the women. I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me.\u201d\"Ashley<\/p>\n

Ashley said that while she tried not to take anything personally at first, she couldn\u2019t help but \u201csense a growing distance\u201d between herself and the \u201cother members of the group.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen everyone else attended a birthday dinner together, I was met with excuses as to why I hadn\u2019t been invited. I still don\u2019t get why I wasn\u2019t at the girl hang that they all planned at my daughter\u2019s birthday,\u201d she wrote, before accusing the group of having a \u201cpattern of leaving someone out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the early days of the group, there was another mom who often wasn\u2019t included. I\u2019d picked up on hints of a weird dynamic, but at the time, I didn\u2019t dwell on it too much. I was just so happy to have found these incredible, smart, funny women. Now it seemed that this group had a pattern of leaving someone out. And that someone had become me,\u201d she claimed.<\/p>\n

After feeling \u201ctotally lost\u201d as to why she was suddenly being excluded from the group, Ashley revealed that she confronted the moms via text. \u201c’This is too high school for me and I don\u2019t want to take part in it anymore,\u2019\u201d she wrote before recounting that, \u201cIt didn\u2019t exactly go over well. Some of the others tried to smooth things over. One sent flowers, then ignored me when I thanked her for them. Another tried to convince me that everyone assumed I\u2019d been invited to gatherings and just hadn\u2019t shown up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be clear, I have never considered the moms to be bad people. (Maybe one.) But I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive \u2014 for me, anyway,\u201d she added<\/a>, noting that the entire thing brought her \u201cto tears\u201d when it played out.<\/p>\n

Despite Ashley\u2019s warning, the essay has since sparked a heap of speculation<\/a> about the reasoning behind the drama. Meanwhile, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that while Ashley is still following Meghan on Instagram, she is no longer following Hilary or Mandy.\"Hilary<\/p>\n
