Jack P Shepherd left Good Morning Britain presenters stunned when he appeared to reveal major details about his Coronation Street<\/a> character’s fate.<\/p>\n

The actor, famous for portraying David Platt, is amongst the stars featuring in tonight’s highly anticipated crossover episode with Emmerdale<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Corriedale hits our screens at 8pm, with ITV promising a gripping hour that will transform both the Cobbles and the fictional Yorkshire village forever.<\/p>\n

Viewers have been frantically theorising about which beloved characters might meet their demise.<\/p>\n

Jack appeared on Good Morning Britain<\/a> alongside Chris Bisson to tease what’s in store for the special episode. GMB presenters Susanna Reid<\/a> and Ed Balls were left gasping when Jack seemingly revealed that his remarkable 25-year run on the programme was about to reach its conclusion.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the deaths featured in the episode, he declared: “People go and my number has come up. I’ve done 25 years. It would have been great to see the rest of 2026. But sadly tonight is the end. Have I given too much away there?”.<\/p>\n

“I have, haven’t I?” A stunned Susanna questioned: “Is that true?” The hosts exhaled with relief when Jack revealed he was only pulling their leg, with Susanna admitting: “I could feel ITV bosses breathing down the back of our necks”, reports the Liverpool Echo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The excitement for tonight’s monumental episode begins at 7pm with half-hour instalments of both programmes, before the main crossover event kicks off at 8pm.<\/p>\n

Coronation Street<\/a> and Emmerdale stars spent three weeks in October filming on a disused road near Harrogate, Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Claire Sweeney, who will feature in the explosive episode, shared her thoughts with the ECHO about the historic storyline last month.<\/p>\n

She reflected: “I think it’s a piece of history. You look back on the old days of the tram crash, you look back on when the aeroplane came down on Emmerdale, they were historic pieces in the soap and this is the same, it’s never happened before.”<\/p>\n

Claire, who plays Cassie Plummer on Coronation Street, added: “It’s not just like a regular episode where we stroll in the Woolpack or Emmerdale strolls into the Rovers, it’s epic.”<\/p>\n

Julia Goulding, who portrays Shona Platt, teased at the ‘Corriedale’ premiere what viewers can anticipate, telling the ECHO: “It’s something that will change a lot of people’s lives forever.”<\/p>\n

While the specifics of the plot remain a secret, ITV has unveiled a thrilling trailer ahead of the episode.<\/p>\n

Following the multi-vehicle collision, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) steps up to manage the crisis, while a distressed Carla Connor (Alison King) is seen attempting to soothe someone.<\/p>\n

Injured Shona and David Platt (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd) receive roadside assistance from Emmerdale paramedic Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant). Meanwhile, Corrie’s trainee paramedic Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) joins forces with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) to aid more victims.<\/p>\n

Both shows feature pregnant women embroiled in the drama, with Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) seen attempting to assist a distressed Shona at Hotton General Hospital.<\/p>\n

As the trailer reaches its climax, Kevin and Abi Webster (portrayed by Michael Le Vell and Sally Carman-Duttine) are shown searching for Debbie at the crash site, while a frantic Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) calls out for Aaron in the darkness, accompanied by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).<\/p>\n
