\n Four* Physio and Gym is set to move into the disused former Carter’s Domestic Appliances building in Southwick Square, which the electrical retailor vacated in May 2024.\n<\/p>\n
\n The company is a new clinically-led physiotherapy clinic and exercise space, which offers physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and supervised strength programmes.\n<\/p>\n
\n It will also offer over 50s, pay-as-you-go gym sessions, catering to those who feel less comfortable in commercial gyms.\n<\/p>\n
\n These sessions will be open to all ability levels and will be limited to a maximum of ten people.\n<\/p>\n
\n One of Four*’s main focuses is on improving muscle mass as people age.\n<\/p>\n
\n Co-founder Marcus Wolf said: “Strength training is one of the most evidence-backed tools we have.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s not about becoming a gym person \u2014 it\u2019s about staying capable, independent, and doing the things that matter to you.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The unit has been vacant since Carter’s moved out after more than 30 years in the premises.\n<\/p>\n
\n The electrical appliance retailor, which had opened in Southwick in 1994, blamed spiralling rent prices and parking charge increases for the reasons behind the closure.\n<\/p>\n
