A24 has released the first trailer for\u00a0The Death of Robin Hood, starring Hugh Jackman<\/a>.<\/p>\n The film was written and directed by Pig (2021) director Michael Sarnoski, and features performances from Jackman and\u00a0Killing Eve\u00a0star Jodie Comer<\/a>. Jackman recently appeared\u00a0in the biographical-musical film <\/a>Song Sung Blue,<\/a>\u00a0the story of a Neil Diamond<\/a> tribute band.<\/p>\n The Death of Robin Hood\u00a0is scheduled to arrive later this year and is described as a “dark reimagining” of the Robin Hood parable.<\/p>\n “Unlike most previous iterations of the legendary outlaw, Jackman\u2019s Robin Hood is a battleworn loner who finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman, who offers him a chance at salvation,\u201d reads the synopsis.<\/p>\n Production for the film took place at Belfast’s Harbour Studios, and wrapped up in late March, with some filming taking place at Silent Valley, Glenarm and Murlough Bay.<\/p>\n Jackman is additionally included as an executive producer alongside Sarnoski, Jon Rosenberg, Natalie Sellers and Rama Gottumukkala.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Watch the trailer below.
