{"id":231223,"date":"2026-01-06T23:07:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T23:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/231223\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T23:07:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T23:07:07","slug":"kerry-and-cork-pick-up-victories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/231223\/","title":{"rendered":"Kerry and Cork pick up victories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kerry edged their McGrath Cup Group A clash against Clare 0-16 to 0-14 on Tuesday night, holding off a strong second-half showing from the Banner in Clarecastle.<\/p>\n<p>Jack O&#8217;Connor started three of last summer&#8217;s All-Ireland final-winning team: Jason Foley, Mike Breen and Se\u00e1n O&#8217;Brien.<\/p>\n<p>They were 0-12 to 0-05 ahead by half-time thanks to scores from Tom\u00e1s Kennedy (0-04), Cian O&#8217;Grady (0-03), Thomas O&#8217;Donnell (0-02), Gear\u00f3id Hassett, Daniel Kirby and Charlie Keating (0-01 each).<\/p>\n<p>However led by Cian O&#8217;Grady and Eoin Cleary, Clare started to eat into the deficit.
