\n\tDisney\u2019s live-action \u201cTangled<\/a>\u201d movie is once again moving ahead with Teagan Croft<\/a> (\u201cTitans,\u201d \u201cTrue Spirit\u201d) and Milo Manheim<\/a> (\u201cZombies,\u201d \u201cDancing with the Stars\u201d) landing the coveted lead roles of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe hit 2010 animated movie, \u201cTangled,\u201d tells the tale of Rapunzel, a magically long-haired princess who is eventually rescued from her secluded tower by an outlaw named Flynn Rider. The film, which featured Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi in the respective voice parts, grossed over $591 million worldwide and spawned the 2012 short film \u201cTangled Ever After\u201d and the successful Disney Channel series \u201cRapunzel\u2019s Tangled Adventure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Greatest Showman\u201d director Michael Gracey will helm the live-action adaptation. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (\u201cDo Revenge,\u201d \u201cThor: Love and Thunder,\u201d \u201cI Know What You Did Last Summer\u201d) penned the screenplay. Kristin Burr (\u201cFreakier Friday,\u201d \u201cCruella\u201d) is producing, and Lucy Kitada will executive produce. Further production details and a release date have not yet been announced.<\/p>\n

\n\tCroft is best known for her role as Rachel Roth a.k.a. Raven on the DC series, \u201cTitans.\u201d The rising Australian actress also starred in the Netflix movie \u201cTrue Spirit,\u201d portraying Aussie sailor Jessica Watson, who attempted solo global circumnavigation at just 16 years old.<\/p>\n

\n\tManheim is already well-known to Disney faithful after starring in the long-running \u201cZombies\u201d franchise. The multi-talented performer, who is also the son of Emmy and Golden Globe winner Camryn Manheim, finished in second place on season 27 of \u201cDancing with the Stars.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTangled\u201d \u2014 which was first reported as being in early development <\/a>in December 2024 \u2014 is the latest of Disney\u2019s animated movies to get the live-action treatment, following \u201cThe Lion King,\u201d \u201cBeauty and the Beast,\u201d \u201cAladdin,\u201d \u201cMulan,\u201d \u201cDumbo,\u201d \u201cThe Little Mermaid,\u201d \u201cSnow White\u201d and \u201cLilo & Stitch,\u201d the last of which was the first movie to gross $1 billion<\/a> in 2025. The live-action \u201cMoana,\u201d<\/a> starring Dwayne Johnson as the tattooed demigod Maui and newcomer Catherine Laga\u2018aia as the titular princess, hits theaters on July 10.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cTangled\u201d live action project had been previously put on hold<\/a> in April after the lukewarm box office for \u201cSnow White.\u201d<\/p>\n
