A Wicklow man who is facing 11 charges arising from an alleged hit-and-run and a series of drug offences has been granted bail<\/p>\n

Brian Drew (34), of St Killian\u2019s Crescent, Boghall Road, Bray, appeared before Bray District Court.<\/p>\n

It is alleged that on January 1, 2026, on the Vevay Road in Bray, the accused crashed a car and caused damage to property. He is facing five charges, including hit and run, dangerous driving, and possession of drugs for the purpose of sale or supply. Following the incident, he was brought to Bray Garda Station, where he was found to be in possession of alprazolam.<\/p>\n

The court heard that the following day, at Kelly\u2019s Recovery Yard, he was allegedly found in possession of cocaine for the purpose of sale or supply.<\/p>\n

On January 3, at an address in Wolfe Tone Square, Bray, Mr Drew was allegedly in possession of the same two drugs for the purpose of sale or supply.<\/p>\n

The court was told that the defendant faces 11 charges in total. Garda Alex O\u2019Hanlon of Bray Garda Station testified that \u201ca large quantity of drugs were seized\u201d and that the items would need to be sent for forensic testing.<\/p>\n

Sergeant Mick Canavan said directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions may be available at the next sitting.<\/p>\n

Garda O\u2019Hanlon raised no objection to bail, and Judge Ramsey granted bail under strict conditions.<\/p>\n

Legal aid was granted to solicitor for the accused, Joe Maguire.<\/p>\n

Mr Drew was remanded on continuing bail until March 23, 2026<\/p>\n
