Paul Geaney is hoping to lead out his Dingle side in the All-Ireland club final against Roscommons’ St Brigid’s Sunday week after making a second half appearance in his sides’ sensational comeback in the semi-final which saw the Kerry talisman score 0-8 to lift his side over the finishing line.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe injury is good. I probably know where I stand now after the last day. I was hoping to come on with maybe 20 or 25 minutes to go, because I didn\u2019t know where I stood. I got 50 minutes under the belt so, having that, and two more weeks from that game.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would have been tough if it was just a week\u2019s turnaround, as in tough to recover from the game and get back up. I\u2019m confident now that I\u2019ll be alright for the next day\u201d explained Geaney.<\/p>\n
Dingle selector Johnny B Brosnan is delighted Mark O’Connor will be available for the final but said Dingle are waiting to hear on the availability of goalkeeper Gavin Curran who returned to Australia straight after their semi-final win over Ballyboden\/St. Enda’s to be with his partner as they await the eminent birth of their first child.<\/p>\n
“We’ll have to wait and see. He went back the following morning. She’s probably due now in the next couple of days. I suppose it’s a very sensitive issue. We hope it turns out well for all concerned and that’s the main thing. It’s just a day-by-day situation now,”<\/p>\n
“Gavin has just been unbelievable all year long. You’d be worried there for the couple of weeks when he was away from the whole thing but he kept us in it on Saturday. He’s a brave buck, there’s no fear of him. He’s been excellent and I hope he picks up where he left off the last day” Brosnan said.<\/p>\n
Back up midfielder Darragh D O’Sullivan, who missed the semi-final due to a hamstring injury, also confirmed that he has returned to training. “I picked up a knock before the semi-final so I am back doing a bit of training this week, so hopefully I will be able to tog Sunday week and play some part anyway on the day. I should be back.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
