Singer Robbie Williams has said it is \u201cvery cool\u201d that his eldest daughter is \u201cso desperate\u201d to be a performer and follow in his footsteps.<\/p>\n

In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Williams, 51 , said the biggest fear of his daughter Theodora Rose \u201cTeddy\u201d Williams, was that she would not be a singer.<\/p>\n

Teddy, 13, landed her first major film role last year, in the Christmas film Tinsel Town, as Rebel Wilson\u2019s on-screen daughter.<\/p>\n

The singer spoke about his daughter joining him on stage for vocal warm-ups before his concerts, and said: \u201cIt is very, very cool.<\/p>\n

\u201cTed in particular is so desperate for \u2018it\u2019. Now, when I was growing up in Stoke-on-Trent, I was also incredibly desperate for \u2018it\u2019, whatever \u2018it\u2019 was.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatching Top Of The Pops on Thursday and thinking, how the hell do I get in that box in the corner of this room and be one of those people?<\/p>\n

\u201cShe sent me a text the other day. It says \u2018Dad, what if I\u2019m not a singer? It\u2019s my biggest fear not to be a singer\u2019. Biggest capital letters. \u2018What if I\u2019m nothing?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Referring to the fact she is the daughter of an award-winning pop star, he said: \u201cI was like, \u2018babe, you\u2019re a nepo. You\u2019ll be fine\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams said he worried about his daughter, and described her as \u201cvery sensitive\u201d.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI am painfully, painfully sensitive. In some quarters it would be deemed as being oversensitive.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is worse than me. And I\u2019m worried about what words will do to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI\u2019m just worried about words, and mean people and \u2013 I\u2019m not worried because I can steer her professionally so that\u2019s OK \u2013 it\u2019s just everything else that comes with it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBesides all of that, it\u2019s a wonderful life and a wonderful job. You get to be creative for a living, and I\u2019m very grateful and incredibly lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams spoke to BBC Radio 2\u2019s breakfast show about his father attending his show in Newcastle on his recent tour, after being housebound for the past two years because of Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201c[My dad] sat in front of the big screen, stage right, in his wheelchair just watching his son, and every now and again I would go back and just check to see what he was doing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd every time I\u2019d look at his face he just had this big, proud, beaming smile. And I will take that with me for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NHS website describes Parkinson\u2019s as a condition where parts of the brain become progressively damaged over many years, leading to slow movement and stiff muscles.<\/p>\n

He left in 1995 and released his chart-topping debut album, Life Thru A Lens, in 1997, followed by a series of number one albums.<\/p>\n
