A masked gunman barged into a pub in a terrifying incident in West Dublin<\/a> last night.<\/p>\n Gardai<\/a> were alerted to The 79 Inn in Ballyfermot to claims that a man had entered the premises with a gun drawn.<\/p>\n However it is alleged that brave punters inside the pub managed to prevent the man from firing off any shots when a bar stool was thrown at him.<\/p>\n His intended target is understood to have been able to get away as those inside the busy pub managed to attack the gunman.<\/p>\n The gunman, who is alleged to have been wearing a balaclava, then fled the scene – as gardai rushed to the area.<\/p>\n The incident is understood to have occurred after an alleged verbal row earlier in the evening.<\/p>\n The Irish Mirror’s Crime Writers Michael O’Toole and Paul Healy are writing a new weekly newsletter called Crime Ireland.
