‘Ireland’s most honest food reviewer’ visited Clonsilla Inn after describing it as the ‘most talked about carvery in Dublin’ and despite having one criticism, a key item saved the day\"Paul<\/p>\n

Ireland\u2019s self-proclaimed \u201cmost honest food reviewer\u201d visited what he described as \u201cDublin<\/a>‘s most talked about carvery\u201d \u2013 and one key item blew him away.<\/p>\n

The content creator<\/a>, known online as Paul_IsItWorthIt, took a trip to Clonsilla Inn<\/a> where he tried a turkey and ham roast dinner.<\/p>\n

And setting the scene before going inside, Paul told the camera: \u201cThis is meant to be incredible\u2026 spectacular some will say. This place has been serving up carveries for over 50 years. We have seen videos, the gravy looks almost like tar, it looks beautiful, nice and thick\u2026 tar in a nice way!\u201d<\/p>\n

He later added that \u201cthis is meant to be one of the best carveries in Ireland\u201d before cameraman John replied: \u201cOh, I\u2019ve heard people raving about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sitting down with his meal in front of him, he said the food looked \u201ctremendous\u201d and one particular item left him floored.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the sauce, John said: \u201cI think the gravy is like the curry sauce to a spice bag. You know what I mean? It has to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n

And trying the gravy with a roast potato, Paul said: \u201cThat gravy is thick, rich, salty and just the perfect consistency. That gravy is amazing, you can tell that\u2019s coming from the juices off the meat. That\u2019s no packet gravy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The carvery also came with carrots and tender stem broccoli, both of which were described as deliciously sweet.<\/p>\n

He also dubbed the mash potato as \u201cspectacular\u201d but was a little underwhelmed by the ham and turkey.<\/p>\n

Paul said: \u201cMy criticism is the meats are slightly dry. I\u2019d down them in that (gravy) so it wouldn\u2019t be that much of a problem to me. That would be my one criticism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cost of his carvery was \u20ac16.95, something he described as standard, and at the end of his video, which you can watch in full here<\/a>, he rated it out of ten.<\/p>\n

Summing up his thoughts, he said: \u201cI thought the meat was slightly dry if I\u2019m being honest. I thought the gravy was one of the best I\u2019ve had and that actually helped because I just poured the gravy on everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe mash was beautiful. The veg was nice and sweet. The roasties were average. They were ok. So with all that being said, \u20ac17 is about average, I\u2019m giving this place a slightly above average score, price, taste, experience, a 7.5 out of ten.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Paul and John made their way out, they were stopped by the manager, who said they should have told him they were there.<\/p>\n

However, to make their reviews as fair as possible, Paul purposely goes under the radar and lets his cameraman order the food.<\/p>\n

\"Roast<\/p>\n

And speaking about bumping into the manager, he said: \u201cHe said his daughter was on TikTok and she saw us on there. But he brought us around and showed us the place.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve got an interactive darts out the back, a pool table, a huge screen, sounds like an advertisement, it\u2019s not! We would definitely go back and drink there, it\u2019s a class spot. It\u2019s huge. It\u2019s a Liverpool supporters club so if you\u2019re a United fan maybe don\u2019t go there.\u201d<\/p>\n

After posting the video, one person replied: \u201cWow, it’s about 15 years since I was last in the Clonsilla Inn and used to have a couple of pints in it regularly when I lived in Blanch.
