Met \u00c9ireann warned it would be very windy<\/p>\n

Met \u00c9ireann has updated its weather warning for 11 counties<\/a>, with two warnings now coming into effect at separate times.<\/p>\n

Firstly a Status Yellow – Wind warning will come into effect for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Galway, Wexford, and Wicklow at 2pm and will remain in place until 8pm.<\/p>\n

A separate Status Yellow – Wind warning will come into place for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo at 4pm and remain in effect until midnight.<\/p>\n

Met \u00c9ireann warned it would be very windy with strong and gusty south to southwest winds and gales near coasts.<\/p>\n

Potential impacts include some wave overtopping, loose objects displaced, some fallen trees and branches, alongside difficult travelling conditions.<\/p>\n

Overall, Met \u00c9ireann<\/a> forecasters said Sunday would be wet and windy with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, spreading northeastwards across the country.<\/p>\n

A clearance to scattered showers will follow from the southwest in the evening. It will become very windy this afternoon with very strong and gusty south to southwest and with gales or strong gales in coastal areas. Milder than recent days with highest temperatures of 10C to 13C.<\/p>\n

Tonight will be windy at first, with strong and gusty south to southwest winds, very strong in the northwest.<\/p>\n

Winds will become mainly moderate overnight, though. There’ll be a mix of clear spells and scattered showers for most but a spell of rain will affect the northwest for a time early in the night. Lowest temperatures of 5C to 9C.<\/p>\n
