Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> and Stephen Colbert<\/a> are together once again. And this time, Colbert is asking the hard questions.\n<\/p>\n Kimmel, 58, appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in an interview that aired on Monday, Jan. 12, and Colbert asked his fellow late night host a series of questions, including about what comes next in life. “What do you think happens when we die,” Colbert, 61, asked during his “The Colbert Questionert<\/a>” segment.\n<\/p>\n “The two of us? You’re going to heaven,” Kimmel joked. “I don’t know where I’m headed.”\n<\/p>\n After Kimmel’s quip, he confirmed that the topic is “something that I have thought about.” He added, “And you know, we’re both Catholic. But I feel like there’s a positive energy field that you become part of. That’s what I think it is. Not only did we see Sammy Davis Jr., we went and hung out in his dressing room afterwards,” Kimmel recalled. “I was sitting on Sammy’s couch and there was a big bowl of potato chips and I was too polite to eat any of them. I was scared, I didn’t know if it was okay to eat his potato chips even though I wanted them very much. And it was a fantastic concert.”\n<\/p>\n Colbert previously welcomed Kimmel to his show on Sept. 30, 2025. Colbert also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/a> the same day. Colbert \u2014\u00a0whose show was canceled in July after 10 seasons<\/a> \u2014 was among many public figures who spoke out against Kimmel\u2019s suspension.\n<\/p>\n During a Q&A<\/a> on Sept. 18, he slammed the move for being an example of \u201cblatant censorship,\u201d per the New York Post<\/a>. \u201cWith an autocrat, you cannot give an inch,\u201d Colbert also said, per CNBC<\/a>. \u201cJimmy, I stand with you and your staff 100%.”\n<\/p>\n Then, while hosting The Late Show on Sept. 24, Colbert declared<\/a> that he was “in a good mood\u201d because of Kimmel\u2019s return, per a clip shared on Instagram<\/a>, which had the words “Free speech prevails” written over it at the start.\n<\/p>\n “Last night our friend Jimmy Kimmel returned to television, just so proud of him! But I would slip inside the skin of our president,” he said, adding “I would resign.”<\/p>\n \u201cI’ve anticipated this. No scandal, no confession, no Sturm und Drang,” Colbert continued. “Just go, \u2018It\u2019s been great. I\u2019m the best, ever. I\u2019m gonna go out on top. I\u2019ve done everything. I\u2019m just gonna go.\u2019 That\u2019s it. It can be a glorious ending, just end it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n The Late Show with Stephen Colbert\u00a0airs weekdays on CBS at 11:35 p.m. ET.\n<\/p>\n
