The first trailer for the third season of Euphoria promises more sex, drugs and violence, teasing a troubled life after high school for the show\u2019s characters.<\/p>\n
Zendaya<\/a>, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer and Jacob Elordi<\/a> are among those returning for episodes four years in the making. The new season will take place five years after the characters were last seen.<\/p>\n The trailer shows Zendaya\u2019s Rue involved in trouble with drug dealers, including a returning Martha Kelly, Sweeney\u2019s Cassie becoming a cam girl while married to Elordi\u2019s Nate, and Schafer\u2019s Jules becoming a sugar baby.<\/p>\n The official logline reads: \u201cA group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.\u201d<\/p>\n Other returning cast members include Alexa Demie, Chloe Cherry, Maude Apatow and two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re gonna have a devastatingly gorgeous, epic season that I think is breaking the mold of television,\u201d Colman told Deadline<\/a>. \u201cI think it\u2019s gonna become more cinema than television.\u201d<\/p>\n Newcomers this season include Sharon Stone, Rosal\u00eda, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler and Marshawn Lynch. This season will also see Oscar winner Hans Zimmer join as composer.<\/p>\n The show\u2019s creator, Sam Levinson, has called it \u201cour best season yet\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThe one thing we all agreed on is we can\u2019t go back to high school \u2013 although many, many shows have had 30-year-old high school students, we\u2019re not,\u201d he said. \u201cFive years felt like a natural place [to jump] because if they had gone to college they\u2019d be out of college at that time.\u201d<\/p>\n
