Daniel Farke finally received his first transfer breakthrough of the month on Thursday.<\/p>\n

With frustration growing over Leeds\u2019 lack of transfer activity<\/a>, the Elland Road<\/a> faithful breathed a collective sigh of relief when Facundo Buonanotte<\/a> was confirmed as a Whites player on loan.<\/p>\n

Buonanotte can make his debut for Leeds against Fulham<\/a> on Saturday, as Farke<\/a> sharpens his cutting edge in attack with the Brighton loanee.<\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> will hope to do some more transfer business in the final two weeks of the winter sales, as Farke looks to ensure his team has enough quality to secure their Premier League safety.<\/p>\n

It certainly looks set to be a busy second half of the January transfer window as far as Leeds are concerned, with further incomings and outgoings on the agenda.<\/p>\n

Jack Harrison looks set to join Fiorentina<\/a>, with Illan Meslier<\/a> also linked with an exit, as Paraag Marathe<\/a> and the 49ers attempt to make sure they are balancing the books.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Como\u2019s attacking midfielder Martin Baturina has been touted with a move to Leeds<\/a>, potentially highlighting Farke\u2019s desire to beef up his forward options.<\/p>\n

And, in a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post<\/a> on Thursday, it\u2019s said that Leeds will continue to monitor the market closely over the coming weeks as they look to strengthen in an extra couple of areas.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s stated that the signing of a centre-forward is in their thinking, with two possible deals still on the cards before 2 February.<\/p>\n

Leeds should be ruthless in striker search despite summer signings<\/p>\n

Settling for mediocrity is not the Leeds United way, and if they are to not only survive in the Premier League but start thriving again, then they will need to be ruthless operators.<\/p>\n

Lukas Nmecha<\/a> and Noah Okafor<\/a> were signed in this season\u2019s summer window to bolster the forward line, but have scored just six Premier League goals in 36 combined league appearances so far this term.<\/p>\n

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored nine of Leeds\u2019 29 goals this seasonBrenden Aaronson and Nmecha are the next top scorers with four eachLeeds are averaging 1.4 goals scored per game this season, per FotMob<\/a><\/p>\n

This has left Calvert-Lewin to take on the majority of the goalscoring burden, with Aaronson now operating as a makeshift striker alongside him at times in Farke\u2019s 3-5-2 system.<\/p>\n

So, signing another out-and-out centre-forward could be a very shrewd move this month.<\/p>\n
