Two pedestrians were injured in a collision involving an e-scooter earlier this week. The driver of the e-scooter left the scene of the incident, which occurred on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

A woman and a girl were on McCurtain Street in Fermoy<\/a> when they were injured in a collision involving an e-scooter at around 6.30pm. The woman, in her 40s, and the youth were treated for injuries.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed are appealing for witnesses to the road traffic collision, and confirmed that the driver of the e-scooter left the scene after the incident. A spokesperson said: “The collision involved an e-scooter and two pedestrians. The pedestrians, a woman in her 40s and a female youth, received treatment for their injuries. The driver of the e-scooter left the scene.<\/p>\n

“Garda\u00ed are appealing for any witnesses of the collision to contact them. Anyone who was in the McCurtain Street area of Fermoy between 6:15 pm and 6:45 pm on Tuesday 13th January 2026 and who may have any information is asked to contact investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n

“Anyone with camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available.
