{"id":249045,"date":"2026-01-17T05:19:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T05:19:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/249045\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T05:19:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T05:19:15","slug":"blinkit-shows-dark-store-distance-on-app-after-removing-10-minute-delivery-pledge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/249045\/","title":{"rendered":"Blinkit shows dark store distance on app after removing 10-minute delivery pledge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/eternal-owned-blinkit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Eternal-owned Blinkit<\/a> now displays the distance to the nearest <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/dark-store\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">dark store<\/a> on its app after removing its <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/1-minute-delivery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">10-minute delivery<\/a> pledge.<\/p>\n<p>Rivals Instamart and Zepto have not done this yet, a review by ET found.<\/p>\n<p>This development comes days after <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/quick-commerce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">quick commerce<\/a> companies <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tech\/technology\/govt-asks-quick-commerce-platforms-to-drop-10-minute-delivery-branding\/articleshow\/126503398.cms\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"tilCustomLink\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">removed 10-minute delivery pledges<\/a> from their apps and other places after the government directed them to do so on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>In a notification on the <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/blinkit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Blinkit<\/a> app, under dark store distance, the company says: \u201cShort distances allow quick deliveries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to industry executives, the removal of 10-minute marketing will have a minimal impact on operations.
