Ikea has unveiled a smart version of its iconic Varmblixt donut lamp, created in collaboration with acclaimed Rotterdam-based designer Sabine Marcelis.<\/p>\n

The Varmblixt LED smart donut lamp allows users to adjust colour, brightness and light temperature, cycling through 12 carefully curated preset tones. Perfect for entertaining or enjoying the ultimate cosy night in, each shade has been selected to transition seamlessly into the next, allowing the atmosphere of a room to shift gradually and without disruption.

Unveiled at Ikea’s first-ever CES Las Vegas appearance, the original Varmblixt range (which launched in 2023) quickly became a viral design hit, celebrated in equal parts for its sculptural presence and for the light it casts. <\/p>\n

‘The focus this time was on what more we could explore within the iconic form of the donut lamp. Colour variation is one part of it, but at its core Varmblixt has always been about how you experience light. In the original donut lamp, external light played on the glossy surface and bounced beautifully off it. With this version, the matt finish lets the light glow softly from within.
