AFCON hosts Morocco have made it all the way to the final of the tournament where, on Sunday night, they face Senegal.<\/p>\n
Morocco are bidding for just their second ever title, while Senegal, also looking for trophy number two, are gunning for their second in three tournaments.<\/p>\n
It was way back in 1976 when Morocco claimed their first AFCON title, while they were runners up in 2004.<\/p>\n
Senegal, runners up in 2004 and 2019, finally won the trophy in 2021.<\/p>\n
Both teams topped their respective groups with seven points each, while Morocco\u2019s Brahim Diaz is odds on to take the golden boot. He has scored five goals so far in the tournament.<\/p>\n
Senegal have four players on two goals each, so it would take an incredible individual performance on Sunday night to overhaul the Real Madrid man.<\/p>\n

What time is kick-off?<\/p>\n
The game is scheduled for a 7pm start<\/p>\n
Where is the game being held?<\/p>\n
The Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, which can hold almost 70,000 fans, will stage the decider.<\/p>\n
Where can I watch the match?<\/p>\n
Fans in Ireland can watch the game on E4 (Sky channel 136).<\/p>\n
Can it be streamed?<\/p>\n
The game is being streamed on the Channel 4 website and All 4 app, but this may be geoblocked in Ireland.<\/p>\n
How did Morocco get to the final?<\/p>\n
Having finished top of Group A, with wins against Comoros and Zambia, and a draw with Mali, Morocco beat Tanzania (1-0), Cameroon (2-0) and then Nigeria in the semi-finals in a tense penalty shootout.<\/p>\n
How did Senegal get to the final?<\/p>\n
Wins against Botswana and Benin, and a draw with DR Congo saw Senegal top their group, before they saw off Sudan (3-1), Mali (1-0) and Egypt (1-0) in their knockout games. Sadio Mane scored a late winner in their semi-final, which saw him come up against former Liverpool teammate Mo Salah.<\/p>\n
Any team news?<\/p>\n
Morocco are likely to be missing Azzedine Ounahi. Romain Saiss was injured in their opening game but was aiming to be fit in time for the final.<\/p>\n
As for Senegal, former Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly suffered a groin injury in the semi-final win against Egypt. However, a yellow card earlier in that game meant he was going to be suspended anyway. Sunderland\u2019s Habib Diarra is also banned.<\/p>\n
Head-to-head<\/p>\n
Morocco have the advantage, with 18 wins compared to Senegal\u2019s seven, while six games between the two sides have ended in a draw.<\/p>\n
Their most recent meeting was a 1-1 draw win the African Nations Championship.<\/p>\n
Who\u2019s the favourite?<\/p>\n
Morocco are 11\/10 favourites for the win inside 90 minutes, while Senegal are 3\/1 and you can get 8\/5 for a draw. As for outrights, it\u2019s Morocco at 8\/15 and Senegal at 5\/4.<\/p>\n
