<\/p>\nHowever, the 22-year-old from Castleknock in Dublin is definitely stepping up to this new challenge, literally and metaphorically, scoring 34 out of a possible 40 points in just week three of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS).<\/p>\n

Speaking after last week\u2019s show, Dargan said that this competition is something completely new for him, as he has no previous experience, but is \u201cgiving it everything\u201d.<\/p>\n
His professional dance partner is newly engaged Rebecca Scott, who was last year paired with celebrity chef Kevin Dundon.<\/p>\n
Irish-Nigerian entrepreneur Dargan admitted that his competitive nature meant that he spent a lot of the earlier part of the competition comparing his progress to that of his fellow contestants, which he said is definitely \u201cthe businessman\u201d in him coming through.<\/p>\n

He said that both the experience of DWTS and The Apprentice are similar that in receiving criticism is most important to use the feedback to progress and improve.<\/p>\n
His desire to thrive in a competitive environment also comes from his experience as a Gaelic footballer in Castleknock, where he lived by the motto, \u201cyou\u2019re only as good as your last game\u201d.<\/p>\n
In terms of music that he would like to dance to, he picked Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson, who he described as the \u201ccreme de la creme\u201d of dance.<\/p>\n
\u201cPhil Lynott is also one of my heroes,\u201d he said, and was inspired by him enormously growing up.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wanted to be like him,\u201d Dargan said.<\/p>\n

Singer Brian Kennedy was the second celebrity to be voted off the show, after his performance of a paso doble dance to The Phantom of the Opera from the musical only managed to land him 15 points.<\/p>\n
The 59-year-old Belfast singer said that he would \u201cchalk it up to a fabulous experience\u201d and one that he will \u201cnever forget\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m definitely more proud than disappointed \u2013 we put the work in, and this is the way these shows go,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Kennedy has spoken openly about health struggles that he has had in recent years, and admitted that he needed a letter of permission from his heart surgeon to do the show, for insurance reasons.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know how to lose, I\u2019ve been in the Eurovision!\u201d the singer added, who finished in 10th place in the 2006 Eurovision with his self-penned track Every Song is a Cry for Love.<\/p>\n
Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins scored the highest points from the judges at the weekend, with 35 points out of a possible 40.<\/p>\n
