Fresh from hosting the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, and earning a Top 10 result on home soil, Switzerland has revealed its artist for Vienna 2026!<\/p>\n
On Tuesday 20 January, the Swiss broadcaster announced that Veronica Fusaro will perform for Switzerland at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in May.<\/p>\n
The song that Veronica will sing is set to be announced on Wednesday 11 March.<\/p>\n

Born and raised in Thun BE, Veronica Fusaro has firmly built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices on the Swiss music scene. Blending pop with elements of soul and rock, her songs combine sharp lyricism with emotional clarity and a groove-driven sound.<\/p>\n
An established live performer, Fusaro was named ‘Best Talent’ by Swiss national radio SRF 3 in 2016, marking an early milestone in her career. Since then, she has played over 500 concerts in Switzerland and abroad, appearing on renowned stages and festivals including Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and Gurtenfestival, and supporting Mark Knopfler at the Amphitheatre of N\u00eemes. She concluded 2023 with a headline show at Kaufleuten in Zurich.<\/p>\n
Known for her strong stage presence, the 28-year-old musician balances vulnerability and confidence, creating performances that feel both personal and powerful.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am extremely happy and honoured to represent Switzerland at Eurovision,\u201d says Fusaro. \u201cIt truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share my music on a beautiful stage like that, with people from all over watching.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fusaro\u2019s current creative chapter centres on her second album, Looking for Connection, released in October 2025. The record reflects the growing desire for authenticity in a digitally overstimulated world, capturing the tension between distance and closeness through danceable grooves and lyrical honesty.<\/p>\n
Her debut album, All the Colors of the Sky (2023), entered the Swiss album charts at number five and was widely praised for its emotional depth and confident songwriting. Across both records, it’s been said that Fusaro\u2019s warm, expressive and immediately recognisable voice remains the emotional anchor.<\/p>\n
Eurovision selection, performance and creative team<\/p>\n
Switzerland\u2019s Vienna 2026 entry was selected from 493 submitted songs through a multi-stage process involving an international public vote and an expert jury, with the result determined by a 50\/50 split between audience and jury votes.<\/p>\n
The song with which Fusaro will compete at Eurovision 2026 will be revealed in March. The visual and artistic direction of her performance is being developed in collaboration with acclaimed creative director Fredrik “Benke” Rydman.<\/p>\n
Rydman is one of the most influential creatives in modern Eurovision history, having directed winning performances for Sweden in 2015 and Switzerland in 2024, as well as a second-place finish for Finland in 2023. For Fusaro, he is crafting a staging concept that places musical identity, emotional presence and storytelling at its centre.<\/p>\n
