Ryan Tubridy has stopped hosting the mid-morning slot on London’s Virgin Radio and Dublin’s Q102, prompting the launch of a new weekday schedule for the radio station\"The<\/p>\n

Ryan Tubridy’s replacement on Irish radio has been revealed.<\/p>\n

The former RT\u00c9 star presented a mid-morning show on Virgin Radio in London<\/a>, which was simulcast on Dublin based station Q102.<\/p>\n

But last month, after nearly two years in the hot seat, Ryan<\/a> announced he was leaving the show to focus on other projects across radio and YouTube within the company.<\/p>\n

He still hosts a Sunday morning show on Q102, Cork’s 96FM, Limerick’s Live 95, and LMFM.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the news at the time, Ryan said: “I am extremely excited about today\u2019s news and the opportunity to work again in the world of speech radio, with YouTube channels and with the Onic network in Ireland.<\/p>\n

“As we saw earlier this week with the Oscars Ceremony moving to YouTube, the media world is changing so fast and this is an opportunity to do what I do best with the best content creators in the world.<\/p>\n

“It is with great gratitude that I finish my two years at Virgin Radio UK, where I had the time of my life with the greatest bunch of people.<\/p>\n

“They made me feel welcome and valued which I will never forget, but I can\u2019t wait to get started on these shows. Here’s to 2026!”<\/p>\n

Amid a shake-up in Q102’s schedule, radio presenter Liam Coburn will now host Ryan’s former time slot.<\/p>\n

Liam will host the 10 to 2 show each weekday from 10am.<\/p>\n

The news comes after it was announced that former Ireland AM<\/a> presenter Laura Woods is joining the station.<\/p>\n

She will present The Home Stretch between 2pm and 6.20pm, Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n

Speaking about her new role, Laura<\/a> said: “I am thrilled to join Dublin’s Q102 and bring ‘The Home Stretch with Laura Woods’ to life for Dublin listeners.<\/p>\n

“The journey home is such an important part of the day, and I love the idea of helping people unwind, enjoy great music, and finish their day on a high.<\/p>\n

“The station’s focus on authenticity, family, and community really resonates with me, and I can’t wait to share laughs, stories, and great music with Dubliners on their way home.”<\/p>\n

Before Liam and Laura take to the airwaves, The Morning Show with Kathryn Thomas<\/a> continues each weekday from 7am to 10am.<\/p>\n
