He posted, \u201cFor your enjoyment, the Superman screenplay,\u201d on X (@JamesGunn), along with a link to the screenplay on the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superman.com\/script\/supermanscript.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Superman<\/a> website. The post had 1.4 million views as of that morning. This release followed Warner Bros.\u2019 official move to make the screenplay available for awards consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. released the full script as part of its campaign for the film during the 2025\u20132026 awards season. James Gunn\u2019s Superman previously opened with a domestic box office of $125 million and a global launch of $220 million. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/awards\/superman-golden-globes-drama-submission-1236570525\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Variety<\/a>, Warner Bros. submitted the film in several Golden Globe categories, including Best Motion Picture \u2013 Drama, Best Actor \u2013 Drama (David Corenswet), Best Supporting Actor (Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult), and James Gunn for Directing and Screenplay.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Warner Bros.\u2019 submissions, the Golden Globes gave Superman no nominations.
