\n\tPresident Donald Trump<\/a> officially celebrated one year back in the Oval Office on Tuesday and late-night hosts expressed their frustration with how it\u2019s gone so far.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDuring that time, he has monopolized our attention<\/a> every second of every minute of every hour of every day,\u201d Stephen Colbert<\/a> said on The Late Show<\/a>. \u201cWhich is sad. Because today we\u2019re not focusing on the real meaning of Jan. 20. It\u2019s Penguin Awareness Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cA lot has happened in a short time. This year alone, Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America, held a giant military parade on his birthday, said he wants Canada to be our 51st state, signed an executive order ending birthright citizenship, tore down the East Wing of the White House to build a ballroom, covered the remaining parts of the White House in golden gewgaws, forced Paramount to make Rush Hour 4, made himself the chair of the Kennedy Center Board and then renamed it the Trump Kennedy Center, and personally pocketed over $1.4 billion. And guess what? You didn\u2019t remember most of that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tColbert noted that every day there is \u201csome new Trump horror dominating the headlines.\u201d He explained that the whole point seems to be that \u201ctoday\u2019s maniacal criminality distracts us from yesterday\u2019s maniac crimes.\u201d \u201cWhich reminds me,\u201d he said, \u201cwhere are the Epstein files?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe last year has been exhausting,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cAnd not just for us. That\u2019s why Trump\u2019s always falling asleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSeth Meyers<\/a>, on Late Night, noted that he will celebrating Trump\u2019s one-year anniversary back in office with the traditional one year gift, paper, while displaying a photo of a joint. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn The Tonight Show<\/a>, Jimmy Fallon<\/a> quipped, \u201cIt\u2019s amazing, one year ago we thought renaming the Gulf of Mexico will be the craziest thing he does.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tJimmy Kimmel<\/a>, noted Trump critic, said he hoped viewers had a nice holiday weekend spent on their phones \u201clooking at photos of how much happier we were in 2016.\u201d He explained that even in one weekend Trump managed to ruin everything. <\/p>\n
